6 months

I can't believe my baby is 6 months old already!
Here's just a few Blaise facts:
At 6 months she weighs 15.5 lbs.
Has 2 teeth.
Sits up all by herself and has for almost a month!
So far, HATES veggies :(
Get's so excited when Daddy gets home.
Loves to gurgle in her throat.
Sleeps like an angel for 12 to 13 hours at night.
The verdict is still out on strangers.
She's a toy hoarder! If sitting with other kids, she'll steal all the toys within minutes.
She's learning how to scream for fun, awesome.
Anything paper or plastic is better than any toy.
I find myself 'checking' on Blaise numerous times while she's in bed, but it's really just to watch her sleeping so peacefully, not a care in the world. I want to pick her up and squeeze her and kiss her a thousand times. We love our Blaisey more than anything in the world. No one can ever describe to you how much love you have for your children until you experience it. It's amazing to watch them grow and learn new things everyday.

Ten Tuesday

I've seen this on a few blogs lately, so I'm going to try it out. I can't promise it will be a regular thing though.
10 random facts about me:
1. I floss my teeth at least once a day. Lee flosses twice a day. I cannot go to bed without flossing, it's just one of those things.
2. I'm already terrified to go back to work and leave Blaise. It's still 6 months away..
3. Ellen is my favorite show on tv, I never miss an episode and I mourned the entire summer of reruns.
4. Crab apple jelly on grilled cheese is one of my favorite things in the world. People think I'm weird. Try it.
5. I could clean my floors 10 times a day and still not be satisfied. I have a love hate relationship with my dark hardwood.
6. I am a procrastinator. I have to do all my continuing Ed in the next month..I've had 11 months to dwell on it..
7. My 6 month old daughter dresses better than I do these days.
8. I get giddy thinking of the new season of Modern Family starting tomorrow.
9. yesterday I scrubbed poo out of 3 outfits, hooray.
10. Blaise is sleeping and I'm procrastinating once again..

Goodbye Summer..

I like fall, just not how short it is. And I hate hate hate winter. I hate snow, I hate wind, I hate icy roads. Ugh, why do I live here? I am happy though that I don't have to make the commute from Airdrie to downtown Calgary this winter!
Here's some pictures of the last half of our summer and into september. Blaise and I flew to Kamloops for the last week in August and we had so much fun.
I feel like Blaise has grown up so much in the last few weeks its insane.  The things she does are so cute and funny, but sad that she's less and less like a baby everyday. She sat up today all by herself for a few minutes and I wanted to cry. She also got her first tooth this week (and handled it like a champ!!). Since she's been rolling from back to front, she's decided she is a tummy sleeper. She tucks her little knees under her and sleeps with her bum in the air, its hilarious. At just over 5 months she weighs 14 lbs 10 oz, very chubby (never ending legs rolls!), and she's a little on the short side.

We are reminded once again how precious life is, and how it can change in the blink of an eye. How important it is to cherish our loved ones and not take them for granted. My heart goes out to our loved ones who are aching at this time, we love you so much.
